World Steel Association's Expert Group on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) meets in Stockholm, Sweden

The World Steel Association LCA expert group is meeting in Stockholm April 20 to 22. The group includes experts from steel companies from all continents with representatives from countries such as China, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Austria, France, England, Sweden, Finland and the United States.

During the meeting, held at Jernkontoret (The Swedish Steel Producers’Association) a number of issues in the area will be addressed. Such as common communication of steel products from a life cycle perspective with examples of environmental benefits of advanced steels, update common global database of environmental information about steel production at all steps, methods development work, revision of global standards for LCA and experience between the companies in the group.
