Powder Meet 2026 – Registration now open
At the turn of September/October 2026, it is once again time for Powder Meet at Jernkontoret in Stockholm. Take the opportunity to register today!
Powder Meet is a well-appreciated, regularly recurring event organized by Jernkontoret’s Technical Area 80, Powder Metallurgy. The event is also supported by The Swedish Society for Materials Technology (SFMT) and the metal research institute Swerim.
Jonas Gurell at Jernkontoret is Research Manager for the Technical Area 80, and responsible for the event.
– Powder Meet brings together researchers, industry experts, and others who work with metal powders in various ways to exchange knowledge and network. The majority of participants have attended previous meetings – this is something you do not want to miss if you work with powders, says Jonas Gurell, and continues:
– New this year is that the seminar program runs from lunch to lunch, with a joint dinner on the first day. We believe this will benefit both networking and discussions.
Powder Meet 2026 will take place at Jernkontoret in Stockholm on 30 September–1 October 2026. The program is nearly finalized and registration has opened. For further information, go to:

This joint steel research collaboration is unique in many ways and has a long tradition. An organized technical cooperation within the Swedish iron and steel industry was initiated as early as 1751. The current operational structure was established in 1926, and since 1969 the collaboration has included the Nordic countries. Almost all steel producers in Sweden, Finland, and Norway, as well as key suppliers and customers to the steel industry, participate in the cooperation.
