Stipends and grants
It is possible to obtain financial support for research, professional development, education and training, study trips as well as publishing within scientific areas associated with iron and steel production. Research into the history of mining and metallurgy may also attract such support.
Jernkontoret administers foundations on behalf of which Jernkontoret’s Council makes decisions concerning grants and stipendiary awards. The foundations provide grants and stipends for the benefit of research, professional development, education and training and study trips.
Jernkontoret also awards annual stipends to technology students on selected Master of Science in Engineering programmes.
Furthermore, it is possible to apply for stipends within certain of Jernkontoret’s technical areas.
