Almedalen Week
During Almedalen Week – when all the Swedish political parties take centre stage – Jernkontoret has an active presence representing the steel industry.
Together with other organisations within Swedish industry, we create a special ”industrial area” in the midst of picturesque Visby on the island of Gotland where interested parties are invited to seminars and debates.
The ”industrial area” of the industrial organisations, set in the ruins of the church of Saint Peter in the heart of Visby, is a gathering of representatives of industry, researchers, politicians and public debaters. Throughout the week, there is a discussion of what industry means for economic prosperity and public services, the subject of sustainable development and other issues affecting society as a whole.
