This conference was arranged by Jernkontoret in cooperation with Swedish Institute of Metals Research, Royal Institute of Technology and major steel manufacturers. Steel cleanliness in terms of amount, composition and size distribution of non-metallic inclusions has detrimental, and in many applications, decisive effect on materials properties. Thus, quality and steel up-grading is closely related to slag inclusion control.
The aim of the conference was to bring together supplier and customer to a dialogue on this issues.
