Performance Measurements of a Ball Type High-Cycle Regenerative Burner System (HRS) at SSAB Tunnplåt AB

In accordance to a project called ”HTAC tests at KTH”, this report presents measurements carried out in a ball type HRS at SSAB TUNNPLÅT AB. These measurements aiming in figure out energy balance, temperature efficiency and heat recovery rate for various cycling time. The results were encouraging. The temperature efficiency and heat recovery rate during a normal cycling time, 60 seconds, were in order of 87.7% ±2% and 75.9% ±2.3% respectively
